Toji and Karaoke

Toji Temple

Toji Temple

On the 21st of every month there is a flea market held at Toji Temple. This flea market is the largest in Japan and thus aptly named Kobo-san. We had managed to get through half of the flea market before there was a torrential downpour. Luckily we found cover in the temple and waited until the rain subsided. Unfortunately, by the time that happened we had to hurry back to school for an open campus event we volunteered for.

Dinner before Karaoke

On Monday, with Tuesday, being a holiday we decided to head out for a night of Okonomiyaki and Karaoke. I don’t have too many pictures from these couple of days, but I will have more soon as the Japanese students start the new semester and I will make a conscious effort to go out and make some new friends (read between the lines!)

  1. I see you’re already scoring members of the opposite sex there, son! Getting used to that pesky kansai-ben yet? Haha.

How’s the weather there? It’s gotten pretty chilly quickly in the last few days. Summer is definitely over!
