Okinawa: Beach Bonfire Party

The second night we were able to be beachside in Rizzan Sea Park Resort Hotel. Only 10 seconds from the East China Sea, Rizzan is an incredibly nice hotel. It had so many amenities and shops that I sometimes got lost in the massive hotel.

It also had a strip of private beach that afford us the opportunity to plan our beach bonfire party. Before setting out the hard work of preparing for the party, we all took a walk exploring the beach and even a dip in the ocean. I think the regular tap water in Osaka is much colder than the ocean in Okinawa. Clear blue sea and shallow coral shelf was perfect to take a dip in.

Although dinner was less than satisfying, we more than made up with our midnight beach bonfire party with two other groups of KGU students travelling to Okinawa and staying around the same area. During the party some of us went skinny dipping in the ocean in the middle of the night and although it was plenty fun, it probably wasn’t the smartest idea as I now have a scar to show for it (thanks to the darkness and coral, one of which I tripped on and the other which made tripping possible =/ )
